The Premier (Sir James Mitchell), who opened the Bridgetown Show yesterday, will not return to Perth until Monday.

Mr. H. K. Johns, Government Viticulturist, was a passenger for Sydney last night by the Great Western express. ' Mr. J. S. B. Davidson, of Australia House, London, has been appointed a Justice of the Peace for the State of Western ' Australia. Mr. F. G. Nash, manager in Perth for Gollin and Co., Pty., Ltd., will leave for Melbourne to-day by the m.v. Manunda on a business visit. Mr. Gordon Conrad, who recently arrived in Perth for publicity purposes, for Hoyts Theatres, will leave for Sydney today by the#n.6. Manunda. Archbishop Clime, accompanied by Dr. O'Collins,' Bishop of Geraldton, will leave by the m.v. Manunda to-day for Queensland, where they will^attend important ceremonies. Mr J. P. Da Feu, managing director of J P. Du Feu and Co., of Perth, ia returning from a business trip to the Eastern States by the Great Western express this morning. Sir Keith Smith, KJB.E., Australian representative of Vickers (Aviation), Ltd. who has been in Perth for the past week, left for Adelaide last night by the Great Western express.

Mr. Percy Learmontb, M.C.E., of Horsham, Victoria, who has been on a visit to Western Australia, will leave for Melbourne to-day by the m.v. Manunda. Ho is a brother of Mr. J. P. Learmonth. Mr. R. W. Graham, director in Sydney for Salmond and Spraggon (Aust.), Ltd., manufacturers' agents, who has been on a brief visit to Perth, will leave for the Eastern States to-day by the m.v. Manunda, Mr. R. J. Butler, late manager of the Gnowangerup branch of the Bank of Australasia, who has been transferred to Kooringa, South Australia, left Perth by the Great' Western express last night. He was accompanied by his wife.

Mr. L. Rees, manufacturer, and manufacturers' representative of Messrs. L. Rees and Co.. London, who has been on a world tour, will be a passenger to England by the R.M.S. Narkunda, which will pass through Fremantle on Monday. Mr. James Taylor, managing director of the International Combustion Company (Aust.), Ltd., who has been on a short lusiness visit to Perth, will1 leave for the Eastern States to-morrow night by the Great Western express. Mr. N. Marich has been appointed Con-sul for Yugoslavia at Fremantle, and has opened offices in Fothergill's Buildings, Henry-street. His jurisdiction is for the whole of the State. He is the first, official representative of the kingdom in this State. Mr. David G. Stead, of Sydney, -who is a well-known fisheries man- and president of the League of Nations Union 'in New South Wales, will arrive in Perth this morning by the Great Western express, on a visit in connection with the develop-^ ment of the whaling industry on the west coast of this State.

The Chief Inspector of Schools (Mr. J. A. Klein, MAO addressed members of the Perth Rotary Club yesterday on Some Psychological Aspects of Work.' In the course of his remarks he brought under the notice of members Professor Pear s book, 'Fitness for Work,' which, he said, every employer of labour should read. Mr John Fuller, a prominent resident of Carnarvon, died at the Carnarvon Hospital yesterday, as a result of a paralytic seizure. He was an agent and the contractor for several country mails, and was secretary of the Carnarvon Golf Club and the Carnarvon Race Club. It was mainly due to his organising ability that the golf club attained its present standard. ttis illness followed a collapse while he was nlaying golf on Sunday last.

The Rev. W. A. Langsford, a prominent Methodist minister, died, at Prospect, South Australia, yesterday morning, in nis 79th year. In 1898 he was President of the South Australian Conference of the Australasian Wesleyan-Methodwt Church, and in 1924 President of the Methodist Church. In 1917 he was placed on the supernumerary list. Mr. and Mxd. Langsford celebrated their golden wedding in March of this year. Mr. Walter Herbert Cummins, who haa been associated with Davies Bros., Liniil-ed proprietors of the 'Mercury, and 'illustrated Mail' for the last 31 years, during the past eight years of which he has occupied the position of general manager, has resigned to take over the position of general manager of the 'Daily Telegraph,' Brisbane. He will leave Tasmania for Brisbane at the end of the year. . ,

Mr. Alexander Macdonald, FJR.G.S., a . mining engineer and author, of bcotland. is returning to England on the steamer Port Melbourne, which will resume the voyage from Fremantle to-day. He visited the West Australian ?oldfields when the mining industry in this State was boominir During his present Visit to Australia he interested himself chiefly in mining affairs in Queensland, but he has reviewed manuscript which he brought from Scotland, dealing with a psychological study entitled 'Pilgrim Shadow,' the publication of which will be undertaken when he reaches London. He is accompanied by Mrs. Macdonald.
