NORTHAM.

NORTHAM, December 14.

Yesterday and to-day the weather was exceptionally hot, the thermometer regis-tering 106deg. yesterday and llldeg. to-day in the shade. This is about the hottest weather yet experienced here. Water for domestic purposes is getting short. The Government are making a heavy drain on the Burlong Fool, four and five water trains going up to the fields daily

Wheat is coming in freely, the sample being first-class. Both mills will soon be in full swing. The chaff market is easier, farmers and others having rushed the goldfield market, thus overstocking the place.
