ACCIDENT TO A SQUATTER.

ROEBOURNE, May 12.

Mr. S. Anderson, proprietor of Pardoo Station, Condon, was brought to Roebourne hospital yesterday suffering from severe, injuries sustained by being thrown from a horse which he was mounting. It is sup- posed that the horse trod on or kicked him' after he had fallen. He is progressing favourably.

Fine weather prevails here, and rain ÍB badly wanted.

THE Fremantle Lumpers' Union are making arrangements for the holding of a celebration on the occasion of the next anniversary of

the Union, the 4th July. The celebration will j take the form of a procession through the 1 town, tn whioh the members of the Union, j which is upwards of 200 strong, will take | part. In the evening a celebration banquet
