INFLUENZA AMONG BLACKS.

Deaths Now Total 129.

HALL'S CREEK, June 12.— Latest figures of the deaths of natives in the influenza epidemic in the Kimberleys re-veal that the toll was even heavier than

was at first reported. The total deaths are now given as 129. The latest case was brought into Moola Bulla a few days ago, and died last Monday, and there are still six. natives in the isolation camp at Caro-line Pool, Ban's Creek. The previously expressed opinion that the worst is over still holds, however, and the increase in the number of deaths reported is due not so much to fresh cases as to more exact reports from out-lying stations. The number of deaths of blacks at vari-ous stationer since the commencement of the epidemic is as follows:— Christmas Creek, 32; Gogo, 12; Fitzroy Crossing and vicinity, 6; Louisa Downs, 14; Cherabun, 3; Noonkanbah, 4; Myroodah, 22; Lulugu, 11; Moolabulla. 4;. Margaret River. 7; Lamboo, 4; Billiluna, 7; Willy Willy Creek. 1; Lower Start, 2; total, 129. None of the cases at Moola Bulla origin-ated at that station, but were natives brought in from surrounding districts.
