MISSING MAN.

DETECTIVES INQUIRING. Tarin Rock Mystery.

Perth detectives are inquiring into the disappearance of 'John Joseph Simcox (38), an Englishman, who was last heard of at Tarin Rock, in the Lake Grace dis

trict, on February is, 1927. The circumstances of Simcox's disappearance are regarded by the police with suspicion, and a detective will probably be sent to the Lake Grace district immediately to make inquiries. On February 19, 1927, Simcox was engaged with another man clearing land about a mile away from the house of his employer. They both returned to the house for lunch and the other man went back to work, leaving Simcox to wash the dishes. He expected Simcox to follow him, but Simcox did not do so. Returning to the house about 4 pan. the second man found a note stating that Simcox had gone to Wagin and would return at the close of the week. Since then there has been no trace of Simcox, and the police have been informed that he was not a passenger on the train which left Lake Grace for Wagin on the day of his disappearance. Simcox came to Australia from England in October, 1923, and Is described as being about 5 feet 8& Inches in height, e.bout 10 stone in weight, and with red hair and bluish grey eyes.
