'OUR RURAL MAGAZINE.'

The latest issue of 'Our Rural Magazine,' which is distributed by the Education Department to correspondence â–¡UDils. contains a message to the students

from Field Marshal Sir William Blrawood. In it he says, 'I earnestly advise you to take full advantage of the educational correspondence classes that are open to you and by which my two granddaughters have started their education. Be guided by the help and valuable instruction to be derived from 'Our Rural Magazine,' and do not forget that the country districts, handicapped as their people may be in many respects, have been responsible Tor many of the most able leaders in the public life of Australia.' One of the features of the magazine is a message of welcome to the Duke of Gloucester in the form of a poem, written by Alice Bland, of Erikin, on behalf of the correspondence classes. The life of the Prince .and the significance of his visit has been well treated in the main 'article. , Other interesting items in the issue include an account of the life and work of Rudyard Kipling and an article by the Curator of the West Australian Museum (Mr. L. Glauert) on 'How to Look for Animals.'
