begun at Hale School. In 1900 he won a Rhodes Scholarship and went to Oxford, taking his law degrees and being ' admitted, later, to the bar of the Inner Temple. . ?*??-. ? Returning to Western Australia, .' Mr. Davy. became a partner in^ the .legal firm of Nprthmore and Hale, which then included1 the .present Chief Justice and State Administrator. He went to the war, and at its. conclusion took up the threads where he had . dropped them, becoming finally senior partner in the same firm, now entitled Nor thmore, Hale, Davy and Leake.
