Hopman-Mlle Sifart Win.

LONDOX, June 29.— In the third round of the mixed doubles at Wimbledon to-day the Australian, H. Hopman, and the Belirium champion. Mile. J. Sigart, beat

Tloczynski and Mademoiselle Jedzejowska (Poland), 6-4, 6-4. Hopman and Mile Sigart gained a comfortable victory over the hard-hitting Poles, who lacked subtlety and experience. Perhaps it was not unnatural that the umpire did not attempt to announce their names. In the fourth round the Spanish champion, E. G. Maier and Miss E. Ryan beat J. Clemenger (Australia) and Mrs. Covell (Britain). Clemenger and Mrs. Covell started in great style, the Australian's service troubling both his opponents. Then the Spaniard's severe dashing play, and Miss Ryan's cunning, clever placements proved toomuch for their opponents, who never afterwards had a chance. The last set occupied only five minutes.
