"OUR RURAL MAGAZINE."

The April number of "Our Rural Maga-zine" contains some interesting matter. The Director of Education in New Zealand (Mr. T. B. Strong) has a cheery message

for the pupils of the correspondence classes. The New Zealand earthquake is dealt with capably by Mr. John K. Ew-ers. A characteristic article on birds and trees comes from the pen of Mr. James Pollard. There is a thoughtful contribu-tion on Anzac Day, illustrated by a pho-tograph of the noble Soldiers' Memorial on the bluff in King's Park, also an in-teresting article on our wildflowers, by the Government Botanist (Mr. C. A. Gard ner).
