USEFUL RAINS.

GENERAL DOWNPOUR Agricultural and Pastoral 'Areas' Benefit.

General rains, greatly benefiting the agricultural' and pastoral areas, have been' reported fromi almost ail parts of the State durine the Dast two davs:-.The

fall was apparently lightest in the South West,:but in1n the wheat belt, on the gold fields, and up the. coast, -the falls varied from heavy to moderate.' In the North West and on the Murchison, torrential rains were experienced, whilst at Roe^ bourne the remarkable gauging of^7-20 points, which fell in about three hours, was' recorded. /_.:' ' . ...
