LACROSSE.

FORMATION OF A CLUB.

A meeting was held at the United Service Hotel last night for the purpose of forming a lacrosse club. Mr. George Parker occupied the chair, and there was an attendance of about twenty. It was decided that a club should be formed under the style of the Perth Lacrosse Club. The following officers were appointed subject, in the cases of the gentle-men not present, to their acceptance of the position:—Patron, His Excellency the Go-vernor, Sir Gerard Smith; president, Mr. George Parker; secretary, Mr. C. F. Wright; committee, Messrs. Berling, Wright, Parsons, H. Gordon and Joiner. Mr. H. Gordon was

appointed practice captain. The rules of the South Australian Lacrosse Association were adopted as the rules of the club. Pending the securing of a ground, practice matches will take place on the Esplanade.
