KENSINGTON AND NORWOOD CORPORATION.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25.

Present—His Worship the Mayor, and Coun- <*> cillors Crank, Howell, Gooden, Nienaber, Pack-<*> ha[?], Birrell, and Mattingly. It was resolved that the fees and expenses of the Returning

Officer be allowed at the same rate as last year. Resolved that the following Councillors be Returning Officers for the several wards at the next election :—For irnin.ingfa.ii Ward, Councillor Howell; East Norwood Ward, Councillor Gooden; West Norwood Ward, Councillor Crank; Kent Town Ward, Councillor Mattingly. The Town Clerk was directed to oversee the general arrangements for the next election. It was resolved that £30 be drawn on account of election expenses. Mr. Task was appointed supernumerary Returning Officer. It was moved, seconded, and carried by acclamation, —" That the thanks of this meeting be tendered to William Christie Buik, our present Mayor, for his courteous conduct in the chair, and for the gentlemanly manner in which he baa conducted the proceedings of this Council during his term of office, and that a record thereof be entered on the minutes of the Council." His Worship the Mayor returned thanks, and the Council adjourned for a fortnight
