WRECKED STEAMER

CREW OF CARAWA RETURNING.

MELBOURNE, Monday.

The management of the Commonwealth Government line of steamers has been advisee that the crew of the steamer Carawa (wrecked off an Island In the Galapagos group In March), with the exception of the master (Captain Hyde) and a member named Gasger, are

returning to Australia by steamers of the line

calling at Panama.

The steamer Australrange, due at Sydney on July 3, is bringing the following members of the crew:- Messrs. Bond, Lucas. Roberts, Lewis, Stephenson, Marks, Kidby, Cavannagh, MacDonald, Ross, O'Brien, Mullen, Borham, Klasigan, Beck, Whytt, and Welch. The steamer Australmount, due at Sydney on July with a cargo of sugar from Cuba, has on board the following members of the crew:-Messrs. Robinson, Gore, Cassidy, Lane, Ellinton, Kelly, Morris, Bartholomew, and Ford.
