THE INDEPENDENT THEATRE.

To-night st the Savoy Theatre, the Independent Theatre will once more present "The Plough and the Stars," a play by Sean O'Casey.. The play has been produced by Doris Fitton, with a cast Including Marie Rosenfeld, Mary Hosking, Ger-trude Johns. Phyllis Chalumeau. Marguerite CullenWard, Arthur S. Reardon, William Oates, William Hume, John Stacy, and John Alden. On Sunday night at the club rooms. 60 King-street, a playreadlng. arranged by Miss Annie Hughes, will be given of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." "The Rose without a Thorn" will be given for a season of Saturday night performances, commencing on September 1.
