Sudden Death

LONDON, Monday.

Lord Uthwatt, Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, died suddenly yesterday, within a day of his 70th birthday

He was one of the seven Lords of Appeal hearing the Australian Government's banking - appeal, which is scheduled to resume to-morrow after the Easter recess

Lord Uthwatt was about to retire to bed at his home at Sandwich (Kent) when he Had-a heart attack

The Privy Council will meet to-morrow to continue hearing of the Commonwealth Government's appeal against the High Court's invalidation of its Bank Nationalisation Act.
