STATE PARLIAMENT. -4----LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.The The Legislative Council met yesterday at 3 p.m. ALBANY FREEZING WORKS. Mr. H. Stewart asked if the Government would co.:p:ete the Albany freezing works on which over £:,0l0YJ had been spent, and winch the Controler of Auattaira informed the Royal Couamssion on Agriculture would, with £2,000 spent on tuem, handle 3,000 lambs per week, before allotting money for the establishment of freezing works at ren:antle? The Colonial Secretary (Mr. H. P. Colebatch) replied that later reports by responsible officers showed that an expenditure of only £2,000 would be quite inadequate for the requirements of the disr.:ct. Owing to lack of shipping considerable etcrage accommodation was required, and the matter was engaging the attent.on of Cabinet. The importance of providing facilities for meat export was fully recognised by the Government, and was being actively followed up.RAILWAY RAILWAY WASHAWAYS. The Colonial Secretary informed Mr. Hickey that £11,00 had been the total cost to the Railway Department for repairs rendered necessary by washaways on the Mullewa-Meekatharra railway line during the last five years. It was intended next financial year, if funds were available, to lower the line below the surface so that the water would run over the line instead of washing the banks away. VERMIN BILL. The Vermin Bill was received by message from the Legislative Assembly, read a first time, and ordered to be placed on the notice paper. STAMP BILL. The further amendments in tCe Stamp Bill were agreed to and the Bill was rear a third time and passed. ADJOURNMENT. At 11.55 p.m. the Council adjourned until 3 pa.- to-day.
