SEES ROYAL VISIT FILM

A special screening of the colour film depicting the visit of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to Tasmania was viewed yesterday by members of Cabinet.

The film was made by the Visual Aids Branch of the Education Department for screening to Tasmanian school-children. The screening oc-cupied an hour.

The Premier (Mr. Cosgrove) said afterwards that it was a "magnificent job," and he con-gratulated Mr. H. J. Read, head of the branch, and the staff engaged on the production.

He said the film would be shown soon in Tasmanian schools, and arrangements would be made for special screenings to be given parents and friends' associations.

¡ The script was written by . Monica Poster, and the main commentator was Leonard Thiele, well-known radio ac-

tor.

The film covers the Royal tour from the time of the ar-rival of the Gothic in Hobart to the departure of the Queen and the Duke from Western Junction aerodrome.
