Officers

Dr. Alan Colwell. Sydney, was elected president of the College of Radiologists at

the fourth annual general i meeting held in the HydroElectric Theatrette, Hobart.

Dr. Alan Mackey, Melbourne, was elected vice-president.

Delegates from all Australian States and New Zealand at-tended.

The president's reception Was held at Wrest Point, and was attended by the Governor . (Sir Ronald Cross), the Premier (Mr. Cosgrove) and Dame Ger-trude Cosgrove.

The Roentgen Oration was delivered in the Town Hall by Dr. W. L. Crowther, the subject being "Medical Practice at Ho-bart Town, 1820-1832, as indi-cated by the Day Book of James Scott, M.D., R.N."

A symposium on cerebral tumours was given by Mr. R. S. Hooper, Dr. R. Kaye Scott, and Dr. B. L. Deans. Melbourne. The discussion was opened bv Dr. S. Moor, Auckland.

A report on the seventh In-ternational Congress of Radio-logy in Copenhagen in July was given by Dr. E. R. Crisp, Mel-bourne, and Dr. H. J. Ham, Sydney.

Dr. Crisp dealt with radiodiagnosis, while Dr. Ham elab-orated the advances in radio-therapy, and Dr. C. E. Eddy director of the Commonwealth. X-ray and Radium Laboratory Melbourne, spoke on "Recen I Advances in Radiology Abroad '
