ROADS BOARDS. DARLL G RANGE. At the monthly meeting of the Darlins Range Road Board, at- Kalamunda, on Wednesday, the chairman (Mr. R. S. Sampson) presided over Capt. Tait and Messrs. A. nchunkq, A. C. R. Loaring, C. Ellis, C. Ru: sell, and C. A. McCormack. A deputation representing the Wattle Grove Pro-ess As sociation preferred a number of requests. The Board undertook to have indication boards erected on various roads in the district, while consideration was promised to 'further requests that Welshpool-road be constructed from near Borrsley's to Hazlett's corner; that a narrow track be made along Hale's-road: and that Abernethy-road and St. John's-road be repaired. Mr. Ureh and Mr.; Schmitt. who, together with Mr. Schunke. were the trustees of the Kalamunds recreation reserve, attended and foromally handed over control of the reserve t, the Board. Messrs. Ellis. Tait. and Russell were appointed to supervise the carrying out of certain improvements to the ground in readiness for the farthcoming show. It was resolved that the clearing of Sampson-road from Crordon-road to Wallis siding be carried out br day labour. and. contingent upon this, the closure of Mason-road was decided upon. The Board agreed to cooperate with the Progress Association in urging upon the Commissioner of Railways the erection of a t.i_-ing ramp at the Kalpmunda station. The resolation prevnusly passed imposing a wheel tax on heavy vehicles of £3 10s. per wheel per annum was rescinded by a unanimous vote. Mr. McCormack announced his intention to resign his seat owing to his contemplated early departhre from the district, and the chairman and. other members expressed their regret that this course was rendered necessary.
