Where to see the Queen Today

THOUSANDS of visi-

tors will stream into Hamilton today for the Royal visit The route map (above) and the following de-tails will help them to find {rood positions along: the route, and to know just what is going on, and when.

3.35 p.m.: Her Majesty

and His Royal Highness

will arrive at Hamilton aerodrome, outside Hamil-ton, by air from Mt. Gam-bier, South Australia, and . will be received by Mr. Galvin. : M.L.A. Mr. Gal-vin will present the presi-dent of the Shire1 of Dun-das, local members of Par-liament, the shire secre-tary, the organiser of the Hamilton Royal Visit Com-mittee, and their wives.

The Royal party will be

escorted to the dals, where, after the National Anthem and breaking of the Royal Standard, the Dundas Shire president.will present an address. Her Majesty will reply.

Then the president will present Dundas Shire councillors, the shire en-gineer, and their wives. A bouquet will be presented to Her Majesty.

3.45 p.m.: Her Majesty and His Royal Highness

will enter the Royal car, and the Royal progress to Hamilton will begin. Tlie

map shows the route.

4.45 p.m.: Arrival at Melville oval.' At the dais the Premier, Mr. Cain, will receive the Royal visitors, and present the Mayor and Mayoress of Hamilton, the town clerk, and his wife.

The National Anthem will be played, and the Royal Standard broken. The Mayor will present an

address, and Her Majesty will reply. Councillors and their wives will be presen-ted. A schoolgirl will pre-sent a bouquet.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness will drive in a Land Rover among the children assembled on the arena.

5.10 p.m.: Arrival ab Kanawalla aerodrome.

5.20 p.m.: Her Majesty and His Royal Highness will leave by air for Es-sendon aerodrome.

Today the Royal couple make their first I tri,p to South Australia, where they will call on Mt. Gambier, just across the Victorian border, for a brief visit.

In Sydney, Argus. Royal Tour staff reported ? that the Queen could be clearly seen by the public as she drove to and from Government House for official engagements.

^Crowds were not so dense on week-day en-gagements.

Today you will be able to see the Queen as her car drives at moderate speed to the airport.

10.35 a.m.: Departs Government House. Route via: St. Kilda rd., Swanston st., Vic-toria st., Elizabeth St.; Royal pde., Sydney rd., Moreland Rd , Pascoe Vale Rd., Brew-

ster st., Napier st, Glass st., Mt. Alexander I rd., Keilor rd., Treadwell rd., Lancefield rd. and English st.

Strongposts have been established along

Sydney and Moreland rds., where the Queen's ' car will probably slow down.

Tour officials said yesterday that the pub-

lic should have ample space along the bar- ¡ riers to gain an uninterrupted view of the ! Queen. I

They appealed to the public to obey police ' instructions not to throw objects toward the 1 Royal car and not to break the. barriers.

Troops, police and ambulance officials will be stationed along the route.

On March 3 and 9, when the Queen makes visits to other country areas by plane, her car will travel along different routes.
