Former league

player dies

Wally Naismith, former champion footballer and cricketer, died on Saturday, aged 72 years.

He played football for nine years with Fitzroy, two years for Melbourne . and was a boundary umpire in the V.F.L. for 17 years.

He played cricket for .Col-lingwood with Jack Ryder, and- was a life member of that club. Later he became interested in bowling, and was president of the Al-phington club.
