CRICKET. W.A.C.A. PENNANT COMPETITIONS. The tenth round of matches in connection with the W.A. Cricket Association's pennant contests terminated on Saturday in lovely weather. The scores of the first day had practically settled the results of most of the matches and consequently very little interest was shown. East Perth's three points win against North Fremantle places them at the top of the list with 17 points, Fremantle are second with 16 points, and Wanderers and North Fremantle A occqpy third position with 12'points each. In the "B" grade Fromantle have a commanding lead with 21 points, followed by Claremont 13, and North Dandalup 4 points. WANDERERS V. AUSTRAL. On the east wicket at Loton Park Austral, with one wicket for 29, in reply to Wanderers' total of 179, resumed batting but were unable to reach their opponents' score, the innings closing for 146. Prior batted soundly for 47, P. Chittleborough compiled 37 by careful play, Rowan contributed 17, and Cooper made 12. Washington, Bolton and Cave were the most successful bowlers for Wanderes. At Loton Park (west wicket) Midland Junction made a very poor show against West Perth and were dismissed for 37 and 56 respectively, as against West Perth's score of 187 .made on the previous Saturday. Jamieson 29 in the first innings, and Watts 13 Hegney 12, Clarke 10, and Jamieson 10 in the second try, were the only scores of note. Edmoddson bowled splendidly, an:i captured the nine wickets (one absent) for 21 runs in the first innings, whilst at the second attempt he secured 4 for 27, and Lehmann accounted for 4 for 29 runs.
