ANGLERS AT

ARTHURS LAKE

Eighteen members ot the New Norfolk branch of the Southern Tasmanian Licensed Anglers' Asso-ciation spent an enjoyable weekend

at, Arthurs Lake.

Although they found . the lake glassy calm, the party caught more

than 30 fish.

The lake was the lowest some anglers had seen it for 20 years.

A 24-hour competition was con-ducted, and the prize for the best bag went to Mr W. Farrow (seven fish). Messrs G. Nichols and A. Clayton tied for the prize for the

heaviest fish.

Others successful were Messrs E. Reid, J. Nation, H. O. Purkiss.
