Sharp took part in a number of Repertory shows, and produced the successful "Stage Door" about 18 months ago.

His theatrical experience proved helpful on service, fdr on arrival at Singapore he was heard in several broadcasts and was associated with an English touring company. After aooearina in "Es

cape" Cpl Sharp took the leading role of Robert Browning in "The Barretts of Wimpole Street," when John Wood, an Australian appearing in British Aims, left the cast. The Japanese invasion

cut short the season.

Returning to Melbourne, Cpl Sharp appeared with the Therry Society, in "Quality Street" and "The Late Chris-topher Bean." In recent months he has made several recorded broadcasts and taken part in ABC plays.

, "Swing Parade," a musical revue, will begin a week's season at the Theatre Royal, Hobart, today. Proceeds are for the Southern Tasmanian civilian unit for troop entertainment. ¿.f,¡ ... ., j
