The arrival In Hobart oí the Rev. Harold Percy Fewtrell, who today will be installed as Dean of St David's Cathedral, renews an association be-tween the new Dean and the Bishop of Tasmania (the Rt. Rev. Dr. R. S. Hay) which began when Mr. Fewtrell was a boy.

Dr. Hay came to Australia in 1897 to be rector of Laidley, in Queensland, and Mr. Fewtrell, who was born In Queensland, recalled yesterday that his father was Dr. Hay's first churchwarden.

Hatfield College. University of Dur-ham, provides another link in- their careers. Thc Bishop graduated (rom that college, and Mr. Fewtrell went

there in 1911.

Mr. Fewlrell's first appointment was to a curacy al Kennington, London, and in thc First World War he became chap-lain for munitions areas to the Bishop of Southwark. Parramatta, headmaster of (he Broughton School, Newcastle, and be-fore his appointment as Dean of Hobart, headmaster of the Church of England Grammar School, Ballarat.
