yesterday morning from Melbourne. In the evening His Excellency Lord Wakehurst left by train for Sydney.
Mr. W. Deuchar Gordon, of "Manar," has accepted the seat on
the Board of Perpetual Trustee Com-pany (Limited) rendered vacant by the recent resignation of the Hon. J.
P. Abbott, M.H.R., following the ap-
pointment of the latter to the Fede- ral Cabinets.
