BRITISH PROTEST

UNANSWERED

LONDON, Sunday.

It is revealed that on February 5 the Nationalists captured the British vessel Stangrove, near Barcelona, and escorted it to Majorca.

The Stangrove, with a crew of 15, left Valencia on February 3 with a cargo and a non-intervention observer

was on board.

The Exchange Newsagency says that the Stangrove was outside territorial waters when captured.

Britain on February 8 strongly protested to France, but has not yet received a reply.
