The Antipodes, barque, from London, Capt. Grey, the 3rd June, arrived here this morniug with a general cargo. Captain Grey reports that on tho 9th August, to the west of the Cape, ho experienced a cyclone, varying from S. to b.E, which lasted 48 hours,-during the continuance of which the barquo had to heave-to under storm staysail. Captain Groy also reporta very heavy gales from N.W. to N.E. for the last ten days. The Antipodes brings for Mr. Alderman Murdoch threo couples of Spanish fowls and some golden spingled Hambtirghs, and also three brace of pheasants, principally bens, for Mr. Weaver, chemist.

The master of tho Victory, from Macquarie IIirbour, reports the Lady Emma on the 4th instant wi h 26 tuns oil, and on the same day the Julia brig off Port Davey with IO tuns. On the 6th Captain Baker spoke off the same port the Briton's Queen, clean, having lost three whales ; the Marie Laura with 42 tuns ; the Australasian Packet with 12 tuns ;

and the Louisa clean. The Atalanta schooner for this port waa lying iusido the bar on the 4th, with a cargo ot 28 000 feet timber. The Victory also reports very high floods at Macquarie Harbour, aud all along

the western coast.

The stock sale of Mr. F. Houghton, of Launceston, at the Nile Hotel Yards, Evandale, on Wednesday last, was well attended, and bidding spirited through-out. Fat sheep brought 20s. per head ; 2-tooth sheep, 10s. 3d. to 13s. per head ; working bullocks, £20 per pair; milch cows, from £7 to £8 10s. each; mixed cattle, from 31s. to £3 12s. 6d. per head; there were several horses offered but only one sold, light hack mare, £11 15s. And on Thursday last, at Duncan's Yards, Franklin Village, there was a large quantity of stock but few purchasers ; of that sold the following priceB wero obtained-Milch cows from £5 103. to £8 ; working bullocks, from £10 to£15 per pair; unbr ken steers, from £5 10s. to £6 each ; heifers, from 50s. to
