MOVING PICTURE DISPUTE.

ALLEGED BREACH OF AGREEMENT.

ACTION BY TASMANIAN.

SYDNEY. April 13.

The hearing was continued to-day be-fore the Chief Justice (Sir Wm. Cullen)

and a jury, of the action brought by

Arthur Shirley, an actor, and a native of Hobart, against Ernest Henry Hig-gins from whom he is claiming £1,000 compensation for an alleged breach of an agreement, and for the detention of certain films and plates in connection with a projected motion picture pro-duction entitled, "The Throwback or the Comeback "

Defendant continued his evidence, and described the disagreements which, he said, had taken place between himself and plaintiff during the photography of some of the scenes for the picture.

Witnesses called by the defendant said that actresses had been substituted during the progress of photographing which would have made the finished pic-ture ridiculous in the eyes of the public,

Evidence was concluded and counsels' addresses commenced, but had not con-cluded when the court adjourned till to-morrow (?) ?.
