FATAL SHOOTING

Affray in North

Queensland

BRISBANE, Tuesday.

As the result of a shooting affray at Quamby, near Cloncurry, last night, one man is dead and another is in hospital in a critical condition.

Only meagre details have been re-reived by the police, but it appears that Charles Cameron, a school teach-er, shot James Croke after a dispute

at Croke's home.

Cameron then hurried away and later his body was found in his room at the Quamby Hotel. There was a pea rifle near by.

Croke was taken to hospital in a

critical condition.
