General Savige left £66,006

LIEUT- GENERAL SIR STANLEY

SAVIGE, of Goldthorn's av., East Kew, who died on May 15, left estate valued for probate at £66,006.

He directed in his will that his documents and records of service in two World Wars should go to the National War Museum, Canberra.

Chief beneficiaries named in his will were his widow, his son, Stanley James Savige, his daughter Gwen-dolyn Lesley Savige, a nephew, friends, and a for-mer employee.

His will provided for dis-tribution to other benefi-ciaries of the share of his widow, if she predeceased him. Lady Savige died two months before her husband.

Sir Stanley Savige, who was one of the founders of Legacy, served in the Middle East in the last war, and commanded the Third Divi-sion in New Guinea in 1943.
