What
can we
expect?
Congratulations to The Argus for its thought-pro-voking article, "Violence on
the March."
It is futile to expect the normal behavior of teen-agers, while murder and vio-lence are exploited in comics, radio and films. Then na-tions, if not hurling dire threats at one another, are actively engaged in wars of extermination and destruc-tion, thereby creating one of the chief causes of delin-quency, the broken home.
In a world of "madness" can we blame innocent chil-dren for being corrupted by its crimes?

If a cause is worth fight-ing for it is worth* volun-teering to fight for.
If a considerable part of the Australian population supports participation in SEATO, then surely enough volunteers can be obtained to fulfil Australia's commit-ments to it.
Incidentally, do we con-script Communists of age for military service to "defend" us from Communist aggres-
sion?
