HAWTHORN ||

Hawthorn, League glamor side of the sea-son, is in the happy posi-tion' of being practically free of injured players.

Dashing centre half-for-ward, Pat Cash, who could not play against Geelong be-cause of a ruptured shin vein, concentrated on sprints last night.

Although he still has a little fluid on the shin, he

pulled up well and ap-pears certain to be avail-able for S a t u rday's clash against Richmond.

Winger Neil Pearson is again out of luck.

Last night

he had to leave the field with a pulled leg muscle after having just recovered from a thigh injury.

Officials regard him as doubtful for Saturday.

Clayton Thompson has al-most completely thrown off a slight attack of tonsilitis. He had a light run, and will be available.

Big men Ted Fletcher, John Kennedy, and Alan Woodley worked hard to-gether. On last night's per-formance, they are certain to pose Richmond rucks a great problem.

Rover Roy Simmonds and winger Lance Wilkinson are in top condition.

Wilkinson, who received a kick on the back of his heel last week, showed no ill?effects.

Garry Abell, a centreman from Cooee, Tasmania, and former Fitzroy rover, Fred Anderson, have both been signed by the Hawks.

However, two seconds players have left the side. Follower Peter Walsh has been cleared to South Mel-bourne, while centreman Max Trotter has been granted permission to train with St. Kilda.

Frank Considine continuesi to shine in the centre with the seconds. He was best man last week, while Peter Sheahan. Keith White, Ian McCann, A. Fanning, and G. Peck were the pick of the

others.
