Here's the Hartnett car

§ FIRST PRODUCTION MODELS of the car the Hartnett Motor Company will produce entirely in Australia made their debut simultaneously in Sydney and Melbourne yesterday.

The car is a 6-horse power, four-seater, convertible coupe which the firm plans to sell at £549, plus sales tax, if production costs don't rise. Parts for the car,

christened the "Pacific," will be made in Sydney and Melbourne and assembled in all. States. A sedan version, the "Tasman," will be produced toward the end of the year.

Mr. L. J. Hartnett, managing: director of the company, said yesterday the tourer was the lowest priced family car now on the Australian market. The company claims that with a maximum speed of 70 m.p.h. it is capable of petrol consumption as low as 60 miles to the gallon.
