Ray Evans, full cak for

Geelong seconds, will play in ' the practise match at Port Melbourne today.

Evans is confident of gaining a clearance from Geelong if he can make the final list with the V.P.A. club.,

Regulars Bob Kelsey and Jack Storey had their first train-ing runs on Thursday, and Des Baker, who was kept out of the side through injuries last year, had a light run.

Seeking clearance

Bert Lehmann, Preston de-fender, trained at Brunswick on Thursday, and told officials that he will apply for a clearance

from Preston.

Frank Cully, wing player, who broke his ankle last season, has started training, and is confident of regaining his place in the

teah.
