IS NAMED

Victoria's baseball team to contest the Australian championship series' in Sydney from July 29 to August 6 was announced last night.

The team comprises: K. Camp (Fitzroy). D. Cranston (Bruns-wick), K. Donald (Melbourne), N. Harvey (Fitzroy), R. Harvey (Fitzroy), A. Kearton (North Melbourne), J. Knight (Fitzroy), D. Mager (St. Kilda), F. Marx (Collingwood). R. Mathers (Caul-field), K. Smith (Collingwood), L. Straw (Melbourne), G. Plppet (Fitzroy), J. Wadsworth (Prah-ran), W. Brad. Carter, nonplaying captain; R. Darling,

manager.

"Victoria has won the last three championship series, and the pre-sent team is capable of upholding that tradition," Mr. Rex Darling, leam manager, said last night.

Harveys chosen

Test cricketer Nell Harvey re-gained selection after missing last series while touring South Africa with the Australian cricket team.

That was the first time Harvey had been out of the State side since 1946.

Harvey's brother Ray, also an interstate cricketer, will represent his State in baseball for the fourth successive season.

Both the Harveys are members of the Fitzroy leam, which has five members in the State side.

Brad Carter, who captained the last three winning Victorian teams, was appointed non-playing captain.
