"Digger" films

Pat Hanna, originator of the famous "Digger" characters, who is still making money out of his early films "Diggers," "Diggers in Blighty" and "Waltzing Matilda." is seen here with an old poster advertising one of his films in which he appeared with the late Joe Yalli.

Made in the early

1930's, these films still draw big audiences wherever they are

shown.

They have already had several revivals in the suburbs and are due for another Melbourne season. soon. Hanna says the films are popular because Australian audi-ences like the old Digger humour best.
