Videotour

starts

at Bendigo

Bendigo will this week become the first country centre in Australia to see television.

A mobile television station will give a series of 45-minute demonstrations in the city on Friday. Saturday, and Monday as the beginning of a tour of 200 Australian centres.

The station, which is housed in a 31-passenger bus and cost almost £40,000 to put on the road, will televise local people through cameras set up in near by halls or showground pavilions.

The station will visit Ballarat on March 15 and 16, and Gee-long on March 20 and 21 before it goes north for the Royal Easter Show in Sydney.
