INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL.

The football match played at the Exhi-bition Ground, Bowen Park, on Saturday by a Queensland team and the team brought out from England by the Rev. M.

Mullineux proved to be the most interesting game seen on the ground for many years. The public interest and satisfaction was all the more enthusiastically manifested be-cause it became apparent soon after the kick-off that the Queenslanders could hold their own against the visitors, and when the local men gave additional proof of this by winning the match with a good deal to spare the enthusiasm was almost unbounded. Many a spectator who went to the ground prepared to witness the downfall of "our boys" remained to see them walk off the field covered with laurels and the scars of a hard-fought battle. Our photographer caught them Just as they came off sub-jected them, all tattered and torn as they were, to the ordeal. If the portraits are unpleasing it the fault of no one but the victims. The photographer had his in-structions to take the Queensland team, and take them he did, after they had per-sistently "dodged" him for a whole after-noon.
