PURPOSE OF TnE ISSUE

The purpose of the present issue Is to obtain capital for the financing of the completion of the production of a feature film now being made by Collins Productions Proprietary Limited, whose registered office Is at 390 Little Collins Street. Melbourne, based on the work of William Farrer in Australia In con-nection with the discovery of rust-proof wheat, the screen version of the successful Radio play, «'Golden Legacy."

OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY

The objects of the Company appear in the Memorandum of Association.

The principal object is as follows:

To carry on the business of producers of motion picture films in all Its

branches.

PERMANENT AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRY.

Although a number of Individual films have been produced In Australln, no {.enous attempt has yet been made to establish the industry on a permanent basis. .It Is the intention of this Company to organise to this end, adopting similar methods to those employed in America and England. The Australian and New Zealand markets for Alms are growing and with the adoption by the Dominion Governments of vigorous immigration policies they will continue to expand and provide an ever-widening home market. The splendid reception which recent Australian productions received In America and England augurs well for the sale of productions of similar or better standard In those countries.

WORLD STANDARD PRODUCTIONS

Profiting by the knowledge that the great advance in the popularity of English films was due largely to the introduction of American-trained directors, Collins Productions Proprietary Limited has secured the exclusive services oi Mr. Arthur Grevillo Collins, a senior member of the Hollywood Screen Directo:«' Guild, as its producer-director. As Mr. Collins has also successfully directed sta«e plays in England, he will develop the Australian industry on sound line!,

and impart to its features the correct tempo for which American productions

are noted.

FURTHER FEATURES

The Company aims to produce three features annually- and exploratory research has already commenced on subjects considered suitable for screening

STUDIO

Collins Productions Proprietary Limited has made satisfactory arrangements with the Commonwealth Film Laboratories Limited, of Sydney, for the use oi its modern studio, equipment and technicians.

RELATIONSHIP OF COLLINS PRODUCTIONS PROPRIETARY

LIMITED AND THE COMPANY.

Collins Productions Proprietary Limited will assume full responsibility for nil productions, research. Aiming, marketing, acquisition of new stories and all work necessary for the production of flrst-class feuture films. The cost of prod»ction will be borne by this Company which in turn w11] receive 70 per centum of all returns received by Collins Productions Proprietary Limited from the marketing or sale of films. Collins Productions Proprietary Limited retaining the residue of 30 per centum. In the manufacture of the first film, however. Collins Productions Proprietary Limited has already expended, or agreed to expend, no less than £10,000. When, as a result of the distribution '.if returns In the above proportions, the Company receives an amount equal to twice the sum actually expended by it In financing Collins Production«. Proprietary Limited for any one film any additional returns In relation to Dial, film are shared equally by both companies.

ESTIMATED RETURNS

The following is an extract of the statement of Mr. A. G. Collins dated 8th October. 1947, included in the Prospectus.

"From my experience in the industry I can Bay that a moderately success-ful feature should return to this Company no less than £20,000 over and above the outlay involved. I am extremely confident that the feature now being produced ou the Life of William Farrer will be an outstanding success."

NO VENDORS' OR PROMOTERS' SHARES

No vendors' shares or promoters' chares are to be Issued by tho Company ior

promotion or for services or otherwise.

BROKERAGE

A commission of nlnepence a share will be paid to the Company'- Brokers m respect of this Issue, out of which the sum of threepence per share will >-e paid on allotments of shares on applications bearing the stamp of a ..«.-laber of any recognized Stock .Exchange In Australia.

STATUTORY INFORMATION

The minimum amount which In the opinion of the Directors must be raised by the issue of the 25,000 ordinary shares now offered for subscription is -. £25,000

(1) The purchase price of any property purchased which is to be

Hiskens St Leonard, and must be accompanied by payment of the sum of 10/- per share, together wit» the appropriate exchange. In addition to the application money of 10/- per share a further 10/- per -hare becomes due on allotment, making the shares

paid up to £1.
