CITY PARKS.

WINTER SPORTS.

COUNCIL ALLOCATIONS.

The Parks Committee of the Brisbane City Council yesterday allocated parks and reserves in the Brisbane metropolitan area for winter sports. The rentals charged are the same as for the previous year. The associations and clubs occupy-ing the grounds in previous seasons which have reapplied have been given prefer-ence. Where application has not been made the request of the local club has been favoured. The Queensland Football Association (Soccer) and the Women's Hockey Association did not apply for the grounds formerly used by them, and consequently the council has a number of grounds not allotted. The allocations

are :

Albert Park.-Ithaca Basket Ball Club, £1/1/.

Bancroft Park.-Kelvin Grove A.A.O., £2/2/.

Babbidge Park-Gloria Basket Ball Club, £1/1/.

Bowman Park.-Bardon Soccer Football Club, £5.

Domain.-Australian Rules Football League, £10/10/, and Gaiety Basket Ball Club, £1/1/.

Gilbert Park.-Gilbert Football Club.

£3.

Graceville Recreation Reserve.-Chelmer Lacrosse Club, and Graceville Soccer Football Club, each £5.

Hemmaun Recreation Reserve.-Cannon Hill Hockey Club, £5.

Kalinga Park.-Kalinga Lacrosse Club,

£5.

Langlands Park.-Brisbane Junior Rugby League, £10; Coorparoo Football Club, £2/2/.
