Radcliffe, Alexander Houston Boone, B.A., LL.D., of Childers, to Jean Annie Ward, eldest daughter of George Alfred Ward, of Brunswick-street, New Farm. BURGE—MATTHEWS.—On the 31st August, at St. Nicolas Church, Sandgate, by the Rev. Canon Matthews, uncle of the bride, Horace Burge, to Ruby, only daughter of J. H. Matthews, Inspector of Distilleries, Beenleigh. WELSH—HARCOURT.—On the 31st August, at St. Mary's, Kangaroo Point, by the Rev. S. C Harris, Douglas, elder son of J. K. Welsh, to Elizabeth A., daughter of H. J. Harcourt, both of Brisbane.

DEATHS. ALCOCK.—On the 4th September, at Amelia-street, Brisbane, Mary Teresa, dearly-loved daughter of Richard and Hannah Alcock, aged 16 years. ANDERSON.—On the 1st August, at Killin, Perthshire, suddenly, James Anderson, of McKinnon, McKenzie, and Co., Calcutta, son of the late James Anderson, supervisor of Inland Revenue, Leith. BANKS.—On the 10th August, at Hunger-ford, from congestion of the lungs, John Alfred, eldest son of J. J. Banks, Ebley Park, Allora, aged 41 years. COLLINS.—On the 14th August, at his resi-dence, Mundoolun, Albert River, John Collins, in his 86th year. HARTLEY.—On the 31st August, at Mackay, W. J. Hartley, Police Magistrate, eldest son of the late Rev. Robert Hartley, aged 53 years. Deeply regretted, and leaving a widow and family of seven to mourn their loss. HORNBROOK.—On the 18th August, at Mackay, Alfred Hornbrook, K.S.F., Major of Engineers, aged 87 years, formerly of Christchurch, New Zealand. New Zea-land papers please copy. LANCASTER.—On the 6th September, at his late residence, Morgan-street, Forti-tude Valley, after a long and painful ill-ness, James Lancaster, the dearly beloved husband of Sarah Lancaster, aged 53 years. MAYNE.—On the 1st September, at his resi-dence, Roma, Henry Guin Mayne, of pneumonia. MERRY.—At his residence, Strathnaver, Dandenong-road, Rosstown, Melbourne, William Merry, in his 71st year. McCULLOCH.—On the 6th September, at Ormiston, Gregory-terrace, Brisbane, Annie, wife of R. W. McCulloch, and second daughter of Henry Bell, Plane Creek, Mackay, aged 31 years. REID.—On 7th September, at Roma, James Ernest Westlake, only son of the late James Reid, of Caamboon and Rookwood stations, aged 25 years.

Company's steamer Changsha, which was despatched from Moreton Bay on Saturday evening for Hongkong and Japan, via North Queensland ports and Port Darwin, took the following passengers from Brisbane :—Mesdames G.
