BEECHMONT.

Accident.-Last week a little girl named Dabblestein, while playing with other children , badly gashed her left foot on a glass bottle. Dr. Cook (Canungra) attended the sufferer, and the following day Mr. John Sharpe, jun., motored her to Brisbane

Hospital.

Business Transfers.-The Advancetown Hotel has changed hands, Mr. Hoio (Mud-geeraba) taking it over from Mr. E. Bellis. -Mr. W. Zimmerman has-disposed 'of his banana plantation to Mr. Collins.

Porsonal.-Mr. Fred. Miller, manager of tho Commonwealth Woolie. Department at Brisbane, with his wife and two chil-dren, has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. U. Forbes. Mr. "Miller has been transferred to Sydney-Mrs. F Shrubsole hass returned lo Beechmont from Brisbane, where she had taken her infant son for medical treat-ment.-Mr. Alfred Muston, is home with his parents on a short holiday. For the pasl 15 months Mr. Muston has been working at Castle Creek sawmill.-Miss Nellie McKenzie is in Brisbane Hospital, suffering from appendicitis.

Timber Industry.-The timber industry is livening up on the mountain. Brisbane Timber«. Ltd., have cutters in almost all their sections, and tractors are busy haul-ing to Canungra, from where the timber is railed to the Corinda mill.
