LADIES' FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.

Optimism regarding the success of next season was expressed at the second annual meeting of the Queensland Ladies' Football Association, held in the Brisbane Gymnasium last night. It is expected that about half a dozen teams will join the association, and that regular competition fix-

tures will be held throughout the season. The report of the secretary stated that three clubs had been formed during the past season, with a membership of about 60 players. Owing to the lateness in the season, it had been impossible

to arrange competition matches but it was hoped that regular Inter club competitions would be held in the coming season. A number of matches had been played in the past season be-tween teams representing North Brisbane and South Brisbane, and on all occasions the finances had been most satisfactory. The financial state-ment showed a credit balance of £64/3/7. The election of officers -resulted :-Patroness, Mrs.

McGregor-Lowndes; president, Mrs. C. W. Searle; secretary, Miss Vera Neil; treasurer, Miss I. C. McGregor; executive, Mrs. Yates, Misses Borwick, Platt, Campbell, and Gibson. The same vice-presidents that held office last year were re-

elected, together with a large number of other supporters.
