THE MARYBOROUGH CONVENT.

The new Roman Catholic Convent School at Maryborough, a view of which is presented in this issue, has just been erected from the design of Messrs. F. G. D. Stanley and Son,

architects, of Brisbane. The building, whioh is quite an ornament to the town, R'.ands on a fine Bite at the oorncr of Walker and Lennox streets, and is built of brick. On the ground floor are large entrance and staircase halls, from which open the boarders' and sisters' refectories, chapel, dormitory, visitors' room, and lavatories; while the kitohen and other offioes are at the back. The first floor is occupied by large dormitory and oommunity rooms for the sisters, and baths, lavatories, Arc. The new building is to be opened shortly by the Arohbishop.
