FUNERAL OF MR. S. P. MACKAY.

The burial of the late Mr S. P. Mackay took place yesterday at Brighton Cemetery. The Rev. J. Jones of All Saints' Anglican Church, East St. Kilda, read the burial service. Acting as pall-bearers were Messrs. G. Woodforde (Chairman of the

V.A.T.C.), D. McRae, G. McRae, C. L. MacDonald, W. Rogers Thomson (Moonee

Valley Racing Club), G. McKenna (Kyne-

ton), W. Wheatley (Perth), and Norman Wilson (V.R.C). The widow was present with her little son Peter, but the elder son, Keith, had not arrived from Perth in time for the ceremony, and Mrs. Lionel

Attwill, the daughter, is still in America.

Prominent among those present were Messrs I. K. S. Mackinnon (chairman of

the V.R.C.), Donald Mackinnon, Hubert Lee Steers, Eric Connolly, J. Connolly, J. Holt, C. Kellow, Harry Greville, W. A. Gale, E. Burt, James Patterson, and R. H. Palmer. Many wreaths were

sent, including tributes from several racing clubs, including some from Western Australia. The funeral arrangements were conducted by A. A. Sleight.
