STATE SCHOOLS.

Philip L. Day has' been appointed an assistant in the Department <if Engineer-ing and Allied Trades at the Central Technical College, Brisbane, as from

January 25.

A State school has been established at Jarvisfield, Ayr ; and u State Behool has also been established at Juandah, to supersede the existing provisional school at that place, as from March 1.

William M'Lean has been promoted from Class II., Division 3, to Class ft.. Divi-

sion 2, OB from July 1.

Tho following resignations of classified teachers have been accepted to tuke effect from February 28 :-Elizabeth Cullen and

Janet L. Walker.

The following transfers of State school teachers are announced :---Patrick Kehoe, from h.t. Banana to a.t. Ithaca Creek ; Archibald Loosemorc, from a.t. Bunda-berg South to acting h.t. Mundubbera. ; Alexander Morrison, from h.t. Thane's Creek to h.t. Sugarloaf ; Walter C. Popple, from h.t. Nananco to h.t. Esk ; John K. R. Radcliffe Walker, from a.t." Bris-bane Central (B.) to a.t.
