INTERSTATE "SOCCER" MATCH.

The New South Wales team defeated Queensland by 6 goals to 3 at Bowen Bridge yesterday after-noon. A junior contest also resulted in a win for the visiting team. Questioned after the match by a 'Courier' representative, Mr. A.

E. Dyos (secretary to the Queensland team) said that New South Wales, after a strenuous week, had proved themselves the better players. Queens-landdd's stumbling block appeared to be the half-backs. The teams were as follows: New South Wales: Goal-keeper, A. Law; backs, E. Ferry, G Nash; forwards A. Quill, W. Bur-roughs, H Harrison, J. Edge, and D. McIvor. Queensland: Full backs, A. Hanlon and E. Hauch , half backs, D. Ross, R. Menzies, and J. Geddes; forwards, J. Hurst, A, Russell, D. Dougal, A. Thompom, and W. Nicholls. Mr.

W Donellan acted as referee.
