Determination of longitudes

BERTIE, Thursday.-The Government astronomer (Sir H. B. Curlewis), after co-operation with the Government astronomer of South Australia in the determination of the longitudes of two places on the eastern boundary of Western Australia, stated the longitude of the Perth Observatory has been fixed at 7 hours 13 minuten 21s seconds city of Greenwich.' The observatory pillar at Deakin, on the border, and on the EastWest railway, has been fined at 8 hours 30 minutes 52.61 seconds east of Greenwich, and the latitude at 30 degrees 45 minutes ISA nec'ondR south. The final longitude in the observing" pillar in the Kimberley district has been fixed atS hours 38 minutes falls seconds each of Greenwich, and the latitude at.
