Aldermanic Cricket.

On the invitation of the Milton Cricket Club the aldermen of the Toowong and Ithaca Town Councils officially opened the new concrete wicket in Gregory Park (Red Jacket Swamp Recreation Reserve) by playing a friendly game of cricket. Mr. M. A. Harris (Ithaca), who repre-sented the metropolis thirty five years ago against the Downs, was top score for Ithaca, with 23 not out, carrying his bat (which was won thirty-three years ago at Warwick for top score for the Brisbane team) through the innings. Toowong won by 9 runs on the first innings. The scores were :-Toowong 62 (Horn 13, McDonnell 13) ; Ithaca 53 (Harris 23 not out, Bergin 10).
